I am back...well, sort of...

Being a newly wed is so much fun, but the work is daunting at times!  Ed likes to eat home cooked meals. Well, that's ok, but I don't (or I should say, didn't) cook!  As a single woman, I got by eating tuna fish and crackers for dinner. That, or cheese and crackers. Of course the bottle is Chardonnay was close by waiting to be indulged.  Now, I cook full course meals consisting of appetizer, entree, and dessert.  The 10 pound weight gain testifies to that!!  In the beginning, I cheated by buying and preparing heat and serve frozen meals, hiding the packaging, and accepting the compliments. That lasted until trash day when Ed discovered the hidden evidence.  First argument occurred, but was quickly squelched with giggles, hugs, and forgiveness.  Three years later, I follow recipes from food.com or foodnetwork.com.  My cooking is ok, not stellar. I do not cook from scratch if I don't have to. I mean, why create a dish of diced tomatoes with basil, oregano, and garlic when I can buy a can of Hunt's tomatoes?  I still buy frozen meats, fish, and poultry, store them in the freezer for emergencies, but now a days I buy fresh, just enough to take me through a day or two, and create dishes that keep Ed happy.

Well my goodness you are still alive. I'm with you on the cooking. Don't wait so long to pop in.

I hate cooking. Done to much of it over the years.

A healthier choice would be just the entree, no need for before or after...
